Dear Kooperatiba Trese,
It was a privilege to meet you all in Baguio, thanks to MCN. Thank you for your energy. On behalf of all cooperatives I have worked with, and from whom I have been lucky to absorb, by osmosis or otherwise, tips on how to understand cooperation for the last 15-20+ years, below are all the training/workshop/discussion/etc. materials.
It’s the entire course that you can push and pull depending on how you “read the room” e.g. if there are those who have not slept, age mix, experience mix, profession mix, interest mix, etc. I am open-sourcing everything, feel free to use anything/everything, without need for any attribution whatsoever.
I believe, especially in our Movement,
There must be the least possible “toll fees” for knowledge/education.
But as I mentioned, there are very few cooperative books, and the best of them are ultra expensive. It doesn’t make sense, when millions are spent every year on equally basic/impt stuff. I encourage you to publish all the time—not books, but your websites, which does not cost a lot to put information into.
I believe in self-reliance. I believe in self-help. Teach your fellow members so they can teach others. No spoon-feeding, but teach them how to bend the spoon. But these all start with having all the information in place and then knowing that there’s some place they can be found—your own websites (at the minimum)

Cooperative directors, managers and lawyers huddled in Baguio City for the Legal Responsibilities: Understanding Board Liability and Compliance workshop to “help equip participants with essential knowledge about the legal obligations and potential liabilities of board members, emphasizing the importance of fiduciary duties, risk management, and ethical decision-making. By understanding these legal responsibilities, board members can enhance their effectiveness, protect themselves and the organization, and promote a culture of accountability and transparency. Consequently, this training will be attended by the Board of Directors, Managers, and Officers/Committee/ Members from various cooperatives.”
